Whether you’ve been up all night or you want to get an early start, breakfast is waiting for you in Las Vegas. What some call the most important meal of the day others label the best meal of the day. Here’s a list of the seven best places to get a good breakfast in the Las Vegas/Henderson, Nevada area.
Voted “Best Breakfast” locally, but called “Best Breakfast in America” by Esquire Magazine, Peg’s has 8 locations to serve you. In fact, the Henderson location was awarded “Best New Restaurant” in 2019. That’s a lot of bests. When you dine at Peg’s, you’ll understand all the accolades.
Peg’s prides itself on offering “glorified” food with “egg-cellent” service. What that means is customers are treated like family and given more than they expect in terms of quality and quantity of food. As the name implies, eggs weigh heavily at Peg’s. Glorified skillets, scrambles, omelets, and Benedicts, along with pancakes, waffles, oatmeal, and every meat/egg combination you can think of round out the expansive menu at Peg’s.
9905 S Eastern Avenue, Henderson
The Peppermilll Restaurant right on the strip has a great breakfast menu. Choose from traditional breakfasts, pancakes and waffles, or omelets, or go for something lighter like the granola and yogurt parfait. The restaurant, built in the 1970s, has an “Old Vegas” atmosphere.
2985 Las Vegas Boulevard
A classic French restaurant, Mon Ami Gabi serves delicious breakfasts and coffee with a beautiful view of Las Vegas as the backdrop. Omelettes are served with rustic bread and blistered tomatoes with rosemary. Crepes are fruity or savory, however you fancy.
3655 Las Vegas Boulevard South
Black Bear Diner is actually a franchise, but this particular location in Henderson has people coming back to it for special occasions. Open 6 to 10 seven days a week, lunch and dinner are also on the menu, but breakfast is served all day. The Bigfoot Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs has your name written all over it.
2751 North Green Valley Parkway, Henderson
BabyStacks Cafe is all about helping you have the best breakfast experience possible. Pancakes come dressed in every flavor imaginable-Banana Cream Pie, Lemon Ricotta, Orange Creamsicle, and Rocky Road, to name but a few. The Red Velvet pancakes topped with whipped cream, chocolate crumbles, and cream cheese syrup is a best-seller.
2400 N Buffalo Drive, Suite 145
Original Sunrise Cafe has the food you want to eat when you’ve overdone it in some way, and it’s served with kindness. No judgment here when you indulge in one of the morning creations like Hash Backwards; scrambled eggs, Sunrise potatoes, diced peppers, and grilled corned beef slices topped with jack cheese and served on a poppy seed Kaiser roll. Yummy!
8975 S Eastern Boulevard, Suite 6
The breakfast items on the menu at Mr. Mama’s may look like standard fare, but the taste proves anything but mediocrity. Try the chili and cheese omelet or homemade biscuits and sausage gravy for Mama’s cooking at its best.
5693 S Jones Boulevard, Suite 106
Although these are some of the best places to grab breakfast in Las Vegas, the possibilities are nearly endless. Missing out on breakfast is like missing out on the best shows. It is just not done when you’re in Las Vegas. Enjoy!
