It’s probably not a big surprise that the largest erotic museum on the planet happens to be in good ole Las Vegas, Nevada. They don’t call us Sin City for nothin,’ am I right? The purpose behind the museum is educational and experiential, a place guests can learn about communities and celebrate their basic human desires without judgment. The adult films exhibit takes guests on a historical timeline of the industry, introducing the pioneers that started the movement. You’ll also meet the stars – er– videos of the stars. Now’s probably a good time to tell you this place isn’t for the bashful. There are countless adult films being played on screens all over the museum.
You’ll also check out a pretty eclectic collection of antique and ancient sex toys. Made of marble, stone and even jade, some of these artifacts date back to 1500 BC. Yes, as in before Christ – this pretty much takes quality to a whole new level. Just in case you were wondering, human anatomy doesn’t look a whole lot different now than it did back then. Have you ever seen the erotic version of a Rube Goldberg machine? Neither had we. That is until we hopped on the largest sex bike in the world, which happens to be the centerpiece of the museum (rightfully so). It’s a two-story tandem bicycle. The Museum is also home to the live show Puppetry of the Penis, as well as workshops, a lecture series and performance art. And like any good Vegas instillation, there are quite a few giggle-inducing souvenirs for you to take home and prove to your friends that this place really exists.
