Arizona Charlie’s Decatur

Arizona Charlie’s Decatur is primarily known as a locals’ spot because of its location. It’s not on the Las Vegas Strip or in downtown — but it’s also not situated too far away from them, via the nearby I-95.

Small in size, housing just under 260 rooms, the resort has a personable staff and can be a good value for visitors who are watching their budgets. Arizona Charlie’s Decatur has no garage, but self-parking lots can be found in front and on both sides of the resort. The rooms are affordable with the usual basic amenities. Rooms in the Klondike Tower are the newest.

There’s also a small arcade for kids, a seasonal swimming pool with a Jacuzzi, and meeting rooms. Plus, you can bring something back for those you left at home by stopping at the General Store Gift Shop. The hotel is also located close to the Springs Preserve and Nevada State Museum. If you dig vintage and antique items, make sure to check out the Charleston Antique Mall, located in the shopping center adjacent to Arizona Charlie’s. It’s one of the largest antique shops in town. The casino at Arizona Charlie’s Decatur offers table games, a keno lounge, a small poker room and a lively race and sports book … not to mention banks of slot and video poker machines. It also boasts an all-enclosed, smoke-free slot room.

Dining options at Arizona Charlie’s Decatur are varied and affordable. Ron’s Steakhouse features fine cuts of meat. For a more casual atmosphere, try the 24-hour Sourdough Cafe, where you can enjoy your favorites for breakfast, lunch and dinner — including famous late-night eats like sirloin steak and eggs. The Charlie’s Market Buffet takes it up a notch by featuring a baked potato bar as well as a carving station serving juicy prime rib. You’ll also find items like sushi, peel and eat shrimp, osso buco and much more. If you’re in a hurry, pop into Noble Roman’s pizzeria or Subway for a quick bite.

While the nightlife doesn’t get too crazy at Arizona Charlie’s, there are several places to grab a good cocktail like the Elbow Creek Bar and Jake’s Bar. You’ll also find live music and cheap drinks in the Naughty Ladies’ Saloon.
